Speaker: Jeremy Shabot

When we are out on the water, we don't like to think about injuries or medical situations that could happen, but occasionally they do.  If something happens to you or you fishing companion, would you know what to do?

Jeremy is passionate about helping others and sharing his time on the water.  Rather than pretending to have any level of fly fishing acumen, he’ll be sharing a bit of his expertise in pre-hospital medicine.  His talk will focus on mishaps that can occur during a fishing trip, how to take steps to prevent them from happening, and what to do should the unfortunate occur.

SPECIAL DOOR PRIZE

As a special bonus there will be a door prize drawing, eligible for all meeting attendees, for a first-aid kit and fishing hook removal tool.

About Our Speaker:

He worked as a Field Training Officer for nearly 13 years, a Captain for 4 years, and was promoted to Battalion Chief in 2017. He has been awarded Paramedic of the Year, Field Supervisor of the Year, & Provider of the Year during his tenure with Ada County. In his spare time, Jeremy enjoys spending time with his family in the outdoors, skiing, fly fishing, backpacking, camping, and relaxing. He has been fly fishing since 1993 and tying flies since 2000. He has not received awards for either of these efforts.
